Sindhi
Language Authority has approved many schemes for the promotion, development
and teaching of Sindhi Language. These are being carried out with the
financial support of the Government of Sindh in a phased manner. The publication
scheme contains books including Dictionaries, research work on Sindhi
language, general knowledge, letter writing and books of public interest.
In addition to this an scheme of producing CD for teaching Sindhi through
English medium is under process of preparation.
Important schemes for holding 3 days international seminar on “
Indus Valley Civilization”, "Publication of Encyclopedia Sindhiana"
gallery of prominent personalities of Sindh will be implemented upon shortly.
There is a scheme to establish the Indus Script Museum. Major source of
funding for Sindhi Language Authority is annual grant-in-aid from Government
of Sindh.The Govt. of Sindh has approved ADP Scheme for Language Development
Schemes and has also provided funds for implementation thereon. Besides,
markup on endowment fund, donations, grants, gifts and income from sale
of books are other sources of income. Special emphasis is being laid to
find out other sources so as to generate funds.
Qaleech Kitab Ghar :
This book shop was inaugurated by the Finance Minister, Govt. of Sindh, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, on August 29, 2002. This centre has books of major publishing institutions of the country like:

N.A Baloch Hall
A beautiful hall is the centre of activities of the Authority and other social and literary organizations. The hall measuring 150'x90' sft is beautifully decorated with colourful panels of Hala tiles, depicting evolution of Sindhi language, Indus script and motifs from Mohen-jo-daro. This hall draws tremendous attraction for the visitors wherein a huge wall Mural of the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai on Hala tile pattern has been affixed.

This hall is dedicated to Dr Nabi Baksh Khan Baloch, in recognition of his meritorious literary and educational services. It is rented out to literary institutions, government and non government organizations, for their literary, social and cultural activities. There is special concession for specific activities and institutions, promoting language, literature and culture.
